What it does is opening a HTTP web server for browsing kindle's files from a PC or mobile. The site can be accessed within local network.
This is excellent, works perfectly on my Paperwhite!

I had a question about BatteryStatus, and people's experience with it on the PW4. I was looking at the .sh file and it shows PW4 as a supported device. Once I extracted the tar into the extensions folder I've noticed a couple of problems:
  1. Very high battery usage, ends up needing to charge once or twice a day
  2. battery icon doesn't update, so battery will run out and icon still says 80+
  3. battery icon doesn't update unless I restart the device
I'm trying to delete the BatteryStats folder and seeing what happens (it looks like the batt icon now updates accurately.

Thanks!

Hey,
Is there any danger trying listed extensions on modern PW12? Most of them were design having in mind PW1 or 2, last think I would like is bricking the device.

I second this request.
AFAIK, the following extensions were ported to ARM-HF (Kindle gen 10-12):
- KOreader
- kterm
- Gargoyle
- Leafpad
- MR Package Installer
- vnc viewer(?)

I also managed to run Alpine Linux witch Chromium https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=321982

Probably apps could be updated, but I am not that familiar with linux myself.

vnc viewer was on my list to try, but I did not used that software before. Gotta try eventually.
