Ugh this is exactly what just happened to me. I had a choice between a kindle or a theragun as a gift from a vendor, and explictly picked the kindle to winterbreak it since my GF smashed my BOOX NAC3. I can't live without KORreader.

RIP ME. ugh!!

I'm having trouble getting root access re-established after upgrading to 5.18.1 on my Paperwhite Signature 12th gen. I have the Winterbreak hotfix app installed. I tried to run it, but nothing seems to have happend. Trying to run KUAL produces the dreaded "Application Error" message. I then tried to re-install the hotfix .bin but received an "Update Failed" Kindle splash screen. What am I doing wrong? I believe I have the latest hotfix bin file, which I downloaded from: https://kindlemodding.org/jailbreaking/WinterBreak/

I tried re-installing the MR Installer and KUAL support, but as noted in some other threads, ";log mrpi" no longer seems to work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
