Help! Switching from macbook to windows laptop

Hi!

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm trying to transfer my calibre library from my macbook to a windows laptop and I exported the data. My windows laptop shows the files in the folder but when I try to import them in calibre the folder shows empty. I also tried clicking the files to open with calibre but it just uploads them as if they're a book.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I really don't want to have to set up a whole calibre library from scratch all over again.

Many thanks in advance!

A

If you exported the calibre data via the calibre export/import feature, you must import it via the same feature.

If you tried to do it 'manually' I suggest you try using calibre's export/import feature. Calibre libraries are more than a collection of folders and files.

Can you connect the two computers together and then just copy the libraries and settings from the Mac to the other?
