I finally got the update. Agreed, not impressed. If Amazon thinks this will satisfy their customers who wanted page turn buttons, they are sadly mistaken.

Could the sensitivity of this feature be altered remotely by Amazon? It seems to have somewhat increased... I get many accidental page turns.

I will just add to this thread that now I've upgraded to 5.18.1 on my PW5 (16GB), the page turns are noticeably faster. They now have the same "snap" than they do on the PW6, which I didn't notice with the last version of the 5.17 fw. A big improvement in my book (badumtss).

Yeah I was excited by the idea when I heard about it. Having now tried it I turned it off. I miss the page turn buttons when I am reading on my kindle as opposed to my Libra Colour
