download metadata and covers previous button not preserving edits - Page 2

Thanks for the recent commit. BTW I just noticed the problem with merge tag not working ALSO applies to EMPTY left fields (i.e. right content not copied). Would commit cover that case? Probably does

ALSO, while I am here:
FR (Probably out of scope, belongs in separate thread, but I am lazy): ability to save (metadata downloaded) covers into book files. I like to collect covers in my book files, and sometimes alas I find I want both the old and the new cover! Merge covers button?!!?

I store them in the book's 'data' folder.

Yes, that is right, that is what I want to do. My question is about how to do that from the BULK review download metadata and covers results screen. I believe it is possible from the single book metadata download metadata and covers modal and from the edit metadata modal.

Downloading using the bulk metadata tool gets results that are iffy at the best of times and a very good way to get your IP address banned for a varying length of time as an attempted DDOS attack.

I have had no problems of that sort. Mileage may vary. I don't use it that often.
