Hi everybody !
![]() I just updated my COPS from 1.3.6 to 3.3.1 on my Synology. Rather than overwriting the files in the directory, I extracted the files into a second directory and redid my configuration in config/local.php. No problem on my side, I just had to remember to set write permissions on the thumbnail cache folder. I use COPS directly through Synology Web Station, without Docker. I added script parameters for PHP 8.2 and then simply switched the portal from folder 1 (old version) to folder 2 (new version). No reverse proxy settings to modify. For the moment this configuration suits me fine, but I'm considering migrating to a container on a ProxMox server in the future, so I'll let you know. This will be an opportunity to update my tutorial, which dates back to the old version maintained by Seb Lucas. |

Kobo download options configurable?
I recently started using COPS with my kobo via the browser but books are downloaded to the root folder. Is there a config setting that will allow me to specify download options for my kobo (similar to calibre's 'sending books to devices')?

@jillmess
You use COPS on your kobo via a browser on your kobo. Where an e-book downloaded from COPS is placed on your kobo depends on the settings (or lack thereof) of your browser. COPS has no influence on this. I do not think the browser on the KOBO has a setting to set where the download folder is. But I'm not 100% sure. On the COPS side of things: Are you using COPS from https://github.com/mikespub-org/seblucas-cops ? The old COPS ( https://github.com/seblucas/cops ) is deprecated/superseded/no longer maintained. |

Thanks @mariosipad
I have done some searching since asking the question and yes, the problem is the lack of settings available on the kobo browser. I can live with it for the convenience of downloading since it only shows up if I connect my kobo to the computer and look at the file structure anyway ![]() Yes, I am using the mikespub version of COPS but was previously downloading/reading on my phone. Cheers |
