Kindle Collections

Hi everyone,
So I am a brand-new user to Calibre, love it but having a hard time figuring out how to get my series in calibre to my Kindle app to work. I have read the forums and I just can't make sense. I have the plugins in for Kindle Collections, and it doesn't work. Furthermore, I have tried the plugboards and no luck. Can someone please explain to me how to make this work or if it is no longer available to do. I am currently manually doing it in my Kindle app and it's taking so long. Thanks

You cannot manage collections or series in the Kindle app (or on a Kindle ereader, for that matter, unless it's jailbroken) via calibre. It's just not possible.

You can attach the series name to the title, but only if you sideload the books from calibre (can't be done with direct Amazon downloads).

Well, thank you. Unfortunately, my tablet is not jailbroken. All my books are in Calibre and I load from there to the Kindle app on my S7 Tab.

How do you load the books? Over wifi? With USB? The series name can be attached to the title, using metadata plugboards, but getting it to work depends on how you connect your tablet to Calibre.

Also why use Kindle app? there are other apps that will organize side loaded content by series (e.g. PocketBook) if metadata is there for it.

I did not know that. I have always justed used Kindle

How does one use PocketBook to make collections work. I'm trying to figure this out, but nothing is working. I keep getting error messages. I deleted the Kindle app and installed the pocketbook app on my S7 Tab. I downloaded the plugins needed and the columns also. I plug in my device via USB to load and i can upload the books, but won't do collections. I apolgize if this is answered anywhere else but im not very savy with Calibre

So basically I dumped all my work on Kindle for nothing. I am not buying a new ereader as my S7Tab works perfectly. There sounds like there is zero way to get collections to work and I have to do it Manually.

I was able to use pocketbook network and opds to access my library. But when i download the books from the server into pocketbook they don't stay in collections. How can I fix this issues.

I don't think it's possible to sync calibre collections automatically to any Android app. It's only possible with Kobo and Pocketbook dedicated ereaders.

I might be wrong, though.

For what it may be worth, on newer jailbroken Kindles, you can install the python3 kindlehf package, modify the Kindle Collection package to look for python3 and you can run the Kindle Collections package.
