I developed a plugin for reviewing highlights and notes anki-style
Hi everybody ! I developed this little plugin to help learning highlights from books in the history, mainly for my personal use, but I think it is now in a pretty good state and worth sharing with the community. I used it for several months, with 30+ books and approximately ~3000 notes.
Not everything is perfect for sure and there is obviously room for improvement, I have several ideas of nice features. https://framagit.org/Brumaire/koread...ations-plugins Please check this out, any feedback or contribution is welcome. |

This is a great job, thank you. I tested it immediately and it works fine.
I wonder if it is possible to show dictionary searches under the highlighted words? Or maybe it can be set to work together with the vocab-builder? Because as far as I know in koreader you can't add notes to single words directly in the first search (I know it is possible to add them in bookmarks), so it would be great to show the translation of the word at the bottom. |

For vocab there is https://github.com/Ajatt-Tools/anki.koplugin which transfers your words to desktop via AnkiConnect. Otherwise the official "Vocabulary builder" plugin has basic flashcards functionality to use on your e-reader. It does the job for now.

I'm sure with sufficient time and effort it would be possible but for now I don't plan to implement any feature related specifically to vocabulary. As stated by shuvashish76, for basic needs, you can use the official vocabulary builder plugin, which I use as well and I must say it works pretty well for my needs. The purpose of my plugin is to provide an easy, no-setup, no-distraction solution for spaced repetition, close to the learning material, that can run wherever you can run KOReader. For more specific needs or advanced usage I think it is way more appropriate to use a dedicated software like Anki and setup a annotations/highlights export solution. |
