I think i was doing a lot of bullshit in linux terminal and in windows notebook, also in pbterm to make files executable. So, i just save file following your instruction and put it to /mnt/ext1/system/init.d |

Is this jailbreak doing something with the sigterm when going into standby and poweroff? because koreader isnt saving the latest states other people dont have problems so it might be this jailbreak.
how do i reverse it? |

I'm not experiencing this. Have you added any additional koreader plugins? If so, try disabling them.

EDIT: I thought koreader saved its state with every page turn rather than just at close? FYI... I have this plugin installed, maybe this helps or makes a difference? https://github.com/ckilb/pocketbooks...ugin/tree/main Last edited by neil_swann80; 06-28-2024 at 02:32 AM. |

PB 618?
I have Pocketbook 618 and I really want to have root privileges on it. Did someone test it? And can it work? I am afraid to brick it but I want root on all computers I use. If someone successful successfuly jailbroken PB 618 I will do it too.

Jailbreak apparently does not work on Verse Pro Color (U634k3.6.8.3806) with Linux kernel version 4.9.56 (this is the kernel version in the current SDK 6.8 for the B300 CPU).
Maybe the exploit in the old kernel (3.10.65 iirc) has been fixed so this tool will no longer work on newer devices. Can anyone confirm this? Is someone already working on a fix? Thanks, Leo |

I can confirm jailbreak working on PB Era firmware U700.6.8.4183.
To connect via SSH I had to add lines at bottom in .ssh/config otherwise i got "Unable to negotiate with 192.168.1.43 port 22: no matching host key type found. Their offer: ssh-rsa" Host * HostKeyAlgorithms +ssh-rsa PubkeyAcceptedKeyTypes +ssh-rsa |

regarding the ssh-failure mentioned by @tpehant:
On unix-systems (MacOS, FreeBSD, openBSD and others) you should add the lines to /etc/ssh/ssh_config. Only for clarification... And thanks for the hint! |
