It's a bug when a book has a null date. It's fixed. I'll release the new version.

I had another internet outage this morning but forgot to check. What will happen if there's no connection for the stats window?

First, the main stats window is not affected, only the daily graph.

1)If you have used the daily graph in the current calibre session, the graph will still be available through cache.
2) If you restart calibre, the cache is cleared and the graph area will be blank.
3) Same happens if you haven't viewed the graph in the current session.

Any way to remove a date from a book other than remove from goal, remove date, and re-add? I marked the wrong book as beginning-to-read.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. But the only way to remove a date is by excluding the record.

For anyone else, does the Calibre window briefly disappear then reappear when opening statistics for first time follow a restart?

I noticed this started after calibre 8. Since nothing changed in the plugin code, I knew it was eitheir something o my machine or in calibre itself.

A coupled of days ago I asked Kovid about this and he said it's probably a Qt bug. He also suggested lauching the Statistics window in a separate process. I'll try that soon.

Well, I tried Kovid's suggestion but it didn't work. We'll have to wait for a bug fix in the Qt project.
