Any Kobo after the three Kobo Touch versions (They don't have great screens compared to later models). The stock Kobo firmware does allow crop PDFs now, but really on the Sage 8" is worth it for PDFs (the 10.3" models actually have less pixels). I don't see any difference on the Libra or Libra2, but eink screens do vary in quality for the same model. I have both. Both are better than the Kindle PW5 for quality. |

I still have my old trusty Kobo Aura HD which I use when I'm travelling. It's a bit slow, but still works surprisingly well. It's only when I compare side-by-side with my Forma it shows its age. The battery was extremly good from start, it's not close now, but probably still better than the Forma... I.e. if you find an old Aura HD cheap, it may also be an alternative (as long as the battery is ok). |

The used kobo h20 (~55$) is interesting, but i found 2 new models. A used kindle oasis from 2019 (~150$), and a new pocketbook era (~185$, sealed, usually for ~340$). There are more expensive, but better. Maybe i should get one of the more expensive ones . I'm a indecisive person, sorry |

As to the Pocketbook, maybe. Depends on how much you want this specific model.

Android ereaders are also interesting, because they have more support for different apps, but the main things that worry me are the battery life. They're also sometimes cheaper that the non-andoid counterparts. So is it more worth it to get a ereader with a proprietary os or android? Also ereaders with styli are also interesting for me.

Depends on what you want from your ereader. If you want just to read and your reading material is mostly straight text-based epubs or Kindle books, then Kobo/Kindle/Pocketbook would probably offer a better experience. If you want to play around, install apps, do some web browsing, read in many different formats, want a wide selection of different dictionaries and so on, then Android eink devices would suit you better. Personally I'm not interested in Android ereaders, because I only use my eink devices for reading novels. For tinkering, web browsing, ebook managing etc. I use a computer. Your preferences may be different. |

but what ive to say about kindle. i recommend kindle but a newer one, i think the old one you found has around 2gb disk, doesnt it? if it is it trash i have one with 2gb even through its basic 10th gen i reccomend buying newest paperwhite then jailbreak it with winterbreak then downgrade to 5.16 fw(its a complex step made out of several smaller steps) then install: koreader - enhanced reader with epub and pdf support draw - simplest in the world finger drawing app, drag to drag, twofinger tap to clear, power button to exit sox media player v2 - music player, i use it personally, tho i heard of a MPlayer, or, to be exact, have found a gui app for it for more specific support contact me on discord, either pinging me (@candyqaz) in kindle modding server, or by dming me.
