I have 3 models in mind that i can find locally for my budget. The kobo libra h20, the pocketbook touch lux 5, and the 6th gen kindle paperwhite from amazon. If i'm gonna get the kindle, i'm gonna jailbreak it with winterbreak because i hate amazon and i'm mosty gonna use pdf's for it. They're mostly the same price but the pocketbook is a little bit more expensive. The main features i'm looking for are a backlight. A mp3 player and drawing (without pen) features would be nice. Which of these is superior ? Thanks for responding if you respond |

 P.S. I already have a kindle touch

But it doesn't have a backlight and is too small for my liking

Pocketbook Touch Lux 5 and 6th gen Paperwhite are the same size as the Kindle Touch you said was too small - they all have a 6" screen. Kobo Libra H2O has a 7" screen. IMO they're all too small for PDF files. For those, 9-10" and above would be best. Kobo and Kindle don't have a mp3 player. |

Yeah, all those older Paperwhites have a 6" screen. Only the 2021 and 2024 Paperwhites have bigger screens (6.8" and 7" respectively).
Also i heard that kobo could play mp3 files with mp3z files.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe via bluetooth; it has no built-in mp3 player.
You can play mp3 files stuffed into a mp3z container on a Kobo that supports audio files. I suspect the code involved was used for testing audio book playback. The player is about as primitive as it can be. See this thread from 2021: Sideloading Audiobooks for a bit more information. Odd, the quoted message are not showing correctly. Pretty much what most people decide. The other issue is that using the audio player for sideloaded audio files is not kind to the battery. Unlike ebooks where changing the screen is the main power usage, sideloaded audio keeps the CPU running during playback.
