Building manager says more than a few packages were stolen in recent months and I should try get refund and then deliver to the parcel pickup place.

You'd think the delivery person would put the buzzer and we were in waiting for the delivery. It was UPS who screwed up and when we called the the person who sent the order, she said that she has has issues with UPS and switched to using FedEx. Our order was send again using FedEx.

Delivery here never use buzzer either, even requested. Either they enter and bring to door, or dump in lobby. Or just stop in front of building and drive off without even attempt to deliver (fcking Purolator).

Another thing we've had happen is we've had a note left on the door saying the delivery was attempted to be delivered and it wasn't because we were home.

I've read of people getting a door camera because of problems with deliveries.

My pet peeve is the deliveries that say signature needed and the parcel is dropped off on the porch without even ringing the doorbell.

I like the ones that say you need a code and then you aren't asked for the code.

Happened to me. The courier provided ... some signature as POD. I think the driver signed it themself.

Not sure if I posted about it at the time, but I had a recent delivery where the driver provided a faked picture as supposed proof of delivery attempt. I reported it to UPS and the rep said they "are aware of the issue."
The driver never came or attempted delivery, and captured a picture that was just a close up of a mailing label, with just enough visible around the edges to see it was taken in the delivery truck.

This morning I had a job interview at 10am. Over the last couple of days I've been getting daily reminders about that interview.

So I get there and they weren't informed that I had that job interview. It did go through, albeit an improvised interview. It went good, I think they liked my experience in retail. Next week I'll hear if I made the cut.

But if I do I don't think I'll take the job. They implied that there isn't much chance for longer hours in the future. Also they proudly told that there is a high turn over of workers. That if someone doesn't fit in the team (of 70!) they'll get rid of them quickly. I know that if I were to work there I would feel like I could get fired at any time and I know that would cause me anxiety.

The interview at the craft store on Friday went really well. They don't offer more hours than the job I interviewed for today, but I did get a feeling there's more room for growth for me there. They liked my experience, my knowledge of other stores (they refer customers to a lot of same store as we did), my level of English and the fact that I don't go to school (easier to schedule and get to come in when someone else is sick). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this job.

But I'm still salty about the fact that I got so many emails reminding me about the job interview only for them not to schedule it at the store.
