There's no "factory reseting" for a bricked Kindle.
If it doesn't get detected on your computer over USB cable that's what you own now: a kindle-shaped brick.

If it does and stays on long enough to copy over a firmware bin file copy the firmware install and trigger a (re)install.

There should be a way how they flash them at the factory, but I am not aware if anybody reverse engineered that process yet.

Yes, there is - but the thing is they blocked access to serial port on the board, so no, it is impossible for users to reflash it.

Only option left is taking the storage chip off and flashing it outside Kindle…
