You would be much better with KOReader then Cool Reader.

KOReader is based on the Cool Reader engine but has many more fixes and works much better and is much more supported.

I didn't try the new Vlasovsoft build because the old one already worked on my Clara HD rev b.

I did try the rust addon - build instructions worked well, but about 1.2 GB ended up getting added to my laptop, including rust update to 1.85.0.

Anyone can try my binary if needed - (edit - the attached zipfile has) the difference between the official plato-0.9.39 and this build for the chess addon.

@elinkser, thanks for sharing the binaries for plato. Do you think it would be possible to share them for version > 0.9.43 please? I currently have a Clara BW and I noticed that it is only supported from this version. Many thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, (or fortunately?), I am not the dev - I just copied chronoreverse's build steps.

The actual dev is bateast, who looks to have dropped this addon back in 2023, before Clara BW was added to the main Plato branch.

Maybe try a request to bateast?

Thank you for providing the link to the 2023 version of the vlasovsoft coolreader package! I'm still using coolreader on all of my kobo ereaders, so it's nice to see a newer version of it available.
