Hi, I'm seeking an µSD image for my Kobo N249 Clara HD. My e-reader is stuck in a 'boot loop' (device tries to boot, but 'booting dots' never appear...).

You will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask for PMs to be enabled.

Once PMs are enabled, please post again in this thread (Kobo µSD Card Image Requests) to let us know.

Tried to sideload firmware and doesn't start up again
Hey I have a Kobo Clara HD, bought it in november 2022, barely touched it until a few months ago and i noticed the battery drained REALLY quickly. 1-2 days of reasonable/low usage and it would die.

Ordered another battery but that didn't change anything.

Sent it out to Bol.com but they refused to repair it and since its no longer in warranty they sent it back.

Tonight i tried to sideload the firmware (?) instructions https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kob...oad_a_Firmware, it originally had the 4.38 software, but according to this page https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kobo_Firmware_Releases i could use the 4.8 software from june 2018.
Followed the instructions, it started updating and when it got to the "restarting" screen it got stuck there. Unable to fully reset with the button and im unable to connect to the pc to try and sort it.

Any actions i can do to fix it or am i just SoL?

You'd be far better off using this page for possible f/w versions; https://pgaskin.net/KoboStuff/kobofirmware.html

You can request an image in this thread which you cn then restore to either a new SD| card or your existing one; the image is however a 4.38 build.
