I don't believe that Amazon is setting titles for books. That is the publisher's responsibility. The problem is that Amazon allows them to get away with ridiculous keyword packing there.

I often read to help me fall asleep. I know it's time to put the book down when I'm struggling to keep my eyelids awake and my brain, with eyes closed, starts auto-generating the rest of the page I was reading before my eyes closed.

Wow, I do that too! It's like ChatGPT-ing from the last text that you read. I don't do that so much falling asleep as in dreaming where I auto generate text.

I didn't even know people do that. I've never generated any text in my dreams.

The border between sleeping and waking for me is very tenuous. I'll be "reading" and then I realize that my eyes are closed and wonder where the words are coming from.
I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, but staying asleep long is a life-long battle. I'll often get up too early, have coffee and toast then go back to bed. The coffee presents no impediment. Still, I only usually get an extra hour out of that. |

But the border between sleeping and waking is pretty sharp for me. I never fall asleep reading, for example. Actually it takes some effort for me to fall asleep at all - I've never been the type who just dozes off whenever. And if I'm worried about something, I'll sleep very badly. Dunno why that particular semi-conscious state seems to amp up the brain's creative juices. I have a Dyson fan in the bedroom as well, and sometimes quiet, high-pitched static sounds given off by the fan get interpreted by my brain as electronic musical notes while I'm trying to fall asleep. If I focus too hard on it, it stops, but it's interesting when I'm at least passively aware of it to see what my brain will "compose" from the random electronic noise. Would be nice if I could get it to channel some of that creativity on-demand! |
