Question DeDRM outside Calibre (Mac)

Of course I use DeDRM with Calibre for my books.
But I also have magazines that I read and then delete.
Here it would be handy if I could use DeDRM outside of Calibre.
I am a Mac user, is there already something here?
Thank you.

DeDRM only works with calibre.

Interesting. If you look into the DeDRM zip file at the folder called standalone, it appears to be a means of running DeDRM standalone though it does look like a work in progress.

Is it still part of the package? I thought it was removed years ago. Are you using the recent package?

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of that.
I was hoping to get my magazines DRM free without having to import them into Calibre.

It's there in the 10.0.0.9 and the autorelease packages.

Too old. So no good.

Calibre is the only way to run the current code.

That's an antique.

The 10.0.9 release can be obtained from https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools...ols_10.0.9.zip.

The Autorelease can be found under Assets at https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools...lease/releases (Assets is used since the .zip file name changes with any updates).

The standalone code is not near complete but gives anyone who is interested a headstart on the path.

Thanks for the explanation.
Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer.
I guess I'll have to take the diversions via Calibre.

Have a separate library for the magazines if they bother you?

In my case, that doesn't help.
I import the magazine into Calibre.
From there I export it to the desktop and move it manually to the Apple Books.app.
I then delete the magazine in Calibre.
My idea/hope was that I could omit the route via Calibre.

I have Pocketbook app on my 14.25" Nxtpaper Android tablet for magazines which can connect to the Calibre Content server via WiFi and OPDS. No idea if Pocketbook has an iThing version. Okular on desktop 23" opens directly for PDFs in Calibre.

Thank you for your ideas.
I'm actually quite happy with my reading setup.
I drag the file (magazine) to the Books.app on the Mac and via iCloud it is available on all other devices.
My aim was to save having to go through Calibre to decrypt it.
