OK, then it probably is Gen 11. Which is currently the last generation that allows you to backup your books directly from the device to Calibre.

So...did you register it to your amazon account? the same one holding your books?

The Kindle gen 11 comes in 2022 and 2024 variants. The 2024 variant does not support D&T. If your firmware is up to date, the 2024 variant will be on 5.17.1.0.4 while the 2022 variant will be on 5.17.1.0.3.
