Its not possible to Download and Transfer Kindle Unlimited books now. Hasn't been possible for quite a while, if ever. I'm not sure how long.

Pretty sure it was possible when KU launched in 2014 but it has been years since you could D&T them.

I think Amazon have renamed some IDs.
I had a quick check and play with the code, but JavaScript is not something I am well versed in.

I am a bit late to the party, as I mostly use Kobo these days. I did manage to download over 100 pages before the script stopped working. I was helped by my own script that automated saving ebooks and changing pages etc. I was hoping to share my script here today, and was about to do my final round of checking to make sure all was finally working well enough, to share with others.

P.S. On the bright side, I should have everything anyway, minus a lot of the Updates, which I have started manually working through.

It stopped for me this morning too. I was up to page 39 out of 45. After spending far too long trying to get it working again I gave up and downloaded the last 7 pages manually, book by book. All done now and stored in the cloud.

I probably am not the person who will get around to doing it, but it would be nice if the Python script could be modified to discover books with updates, click the Update button, and Send update to a designated device. Or just produce a list of books with updates when you want to check.

A few days back, I was playing with 3 different scripts which all stopped working after a while. Looking at the error messages, I think Amazon did not like me downloading that many books in a short period and I started getting 503 (Service unavailable) errors. I stopped the script, waited about an hour and they worked again (I also changed the browser ID while looking at this).

The python script was failing on Windows with books that had a colon in the title. It manifested as truncated zero-byte files with no file extension. Easy enough to tweak in the regex name cleanup section of the script.

As far as all out script-failure goes, I just made sure to --showbrowser and add a short delay (after the browser was loaded) to give me time to enter the captcha (without needing to manually enter my ridiculously complicated password) before it proceeds. Ran it several times today with no failures.

Two of 306 purchased titles seem to be returning invalid asins/filenames and can't be downloaded.

That's what PC app is needed for.

There are a few AZW4 books ('write-on books') that were D&T for Scribe. But I tried it once and it didn't work!

Mine are apparently only suitable to D&T for a Fire tablet that's no longer in action.

No great loss. They were both merely test subjects for KindleUnpack anyway.
