The 2025 code showed as expired so I used the single 50% code they've ever sent me toward my VIP membership.

Had planned to use it toward a book, but $5 is more than the discount would be on books that accept coupon codes there. Though maybe I should have saved it for an audio book.

It's amusing - I'm familiar with Kobo's typical shenanigans - but it's also perplexing that they had no trouble taking your $60, but are slow to process the + $10 that's coming to you.
