BOOX Firmware 4.0 Beta for Tab Ultra C Pro

Boox just announced that a Beta version for Firmware 4.0 is available for the Tab Ultra C Pro.

Not sure if I am brave enough to install the beta, as I use my TUCP for work.

Also, I have no experience with Boox betas yet, so I am not 100% sure how the transition to the final version is going with Boox (just install the final version, no data loss, ... ???)

You should be able to rejoin the mainstream when there is a full update.

How can you sign up for the beta program without signing up on the device?

The shop.boox.com Support/Download section is a desert of old manuals.

If anybody has the beta links for the Go6 v4 it would be appreciated. Or if you are signed up for beta on the Go6 and you want you can PM me your device MAC and I'll fetch the links myself. I won't use the MAC for anything after grabbing the links. Currently there are no mainstream updates for the Go6.

Thanks for the info - yes, you can leave the beta program via the update menu on the Boox device and once the final version is available you simply have to install the final version and that's it (found out yesterday after reading some internet posts)


Btw - i updated my TUCP yesterday and installed the Beta 4.0 and so far I do not regret this step!

The TUCP seems to be much smoother and more responsive. Contrary to the info in the beta program I haven't experienced any increased battery consumption, but as the device is supposed to adjust to the new firmware in the background over the next couple of days, this could still be the case.

Until now I haven't experienced any problems or lags in the Notes app either - the response is immediate and there's no lag whatsoever (I think some NA4C users reported this).
