Ok, I've sent you a link for a recovery image.

First, you determine which slot you are on using ADB in the normal system. Follow these instructions, but stop if doesn't look like this. The ... is where it reboots.

C:\>adb shell
$ getprop | grep suffix
[ro.boot.slot_suffix]: [_a] -- or it might say _b
$ adb reboot edl
...
C:\>edl /lwhatever
C:\>edl /w /precovery_a rec.img -- or you might need to say _b
C:\>edl /z
...
C:\>adb shell
$ reboot recovery
...
-- You should see it boot to a white screen --
C:\>adb shell
# start ttyscreen
-- Do you see text on the screen or at least wiggly lines? --
# reboot
...

Before flash new firmware, I doing backup by command "edl /r thirtytwogeefile" you share in another topic, it's right?

You send me a link to download update.upx and I extract to update.zip that contain payload.bin. I don't see rec.img you mention in previous post.

Try 'adb kill-server' if that seems wrong.
Otherwise check for a confirmation dialog on your device.

C:\boox>adb shell
BOOX:/ $ start ttyscreen
Must be root
1|BOOX:/ $


When I start ttyscreen it need root permission.

I have a good new, that the error boot stuct at startup has been fixed when I flash new recovery.img.

What to do next step, Renate?

Currently I have a problem that ADB is unauthorized in recovery mode :

When you go to recovery do you have a completely white screen? Or do you have some sort of menu?

I have a menu, not white screen.

Then you're running the stock recovery.

Either you didn't flash my recovery correctly or you're on the wrong slot or you flashed the stock recovery back.

You can check what slot you're on or just flash both slots.

You're my eyes there. You have to report what happens.

I am sure flash to correct slot (_b). I think I using stock recovery because I got it by extract from file update.upx (link you share : http://firmware-us.boox.com/e275d1c3...cde/update.upx)

You have not share the custom recovery file in previous. Please help me check.

I have flashed your recovery img already. Now the recovery screen is blank white. But I can not call adb shell at here, it not show adb device.

Now when I reboot the white screen show up after ONYX screen.

Well now you have to get back to EDL mode. You can try rebooting with buttons or use an EDL cable.

Were you rooted before? Can you get back to normal system? Go to my site and get i2cscan

C:\>adb push i2cscan data/local/tmp
C:\>adb shell
$ su
# cd /data/local/tmp
# chmod 755 i2cscan
# ./i2cscan

Copy paste the results of the last command.
