Libra Colour Color question

I have a Libra Colour 2 and do enjoy it. Over the last couple of months in watching various videos and articles comparing the Libra Colour to the Kindle Colorsoft it seems like the color on the Kindle device is better, more true, and pronounced?

Anyway, I was curious if there were a consensus as to a CFA mode (in devmode) that comes close or is better looking than the colorsoft?

Are these modes safe to use in general?

Actually, the color on the Colorsoft is worse. I've seen video & images where there is a lot of detail in the images missing on the CS. Also, the images can be muddy especially with darker colors. There was an image of a cover where you could not read a line of text on the CS but on the Libra Colour, it was no problem. With the LC, the detail is in images is not missing. This is not to say that all images are missing detail and/or are muddy on the CS. But it happens and when it does, it looks terrible.

Fair enough, it could have just been the things I see. Judging any of this is hard enough on a youtube video or even pictures in an article.

Meanwhile, do you or anyone know much about the devmode options as far as safety and effectiveness? Of course, I can try it out myself but if it is something that could ruin my device over a period of time then I would not want to even try it.
