This plugin is no longer available it seems? It throws an error while trying to install it via Calibre / Preferences / Plugins
Any solutions? Thank you! LE: I just saw the last post, meaning the one before mine. Such a shame. :/ |

The plugin has not been modified to work with newer Calibre versions since it was posted. Maybe someone will grab the code (it is all in the ZiP) and make the additions (Code should remain backwards compatible as there are users with old systems that will not run above 3.48 Calibre) |

Hey all. I know its been almost 2 months since I've said something but I wanted to try and update you all.
I havent been able to spend a super long amount of time on this, but I have made some progress. The biggest issue with the plugin in its current state is that a lot of it was written in Python2, but since Calibre has been on Python3 since 2020 this thing is capital B broke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGF_7yRZbj8 with every change I make I uncover new error statements, so its a matter of adjusting or even full on rewriting some parts. Like I've said before, don't get your hopes up but I'm still chugging along. This is kind of my first "public" project so I want to try and do a good job of making updates. |

Hello all,
I was missing this plugin, so I wrote a simple replacement (only supports M4B): https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=357371 |

I'm getting an error when I try to install this plugin. I've been doing a lot of calibre work, across two devices, and i've run into the error in both calibre 6.29 and 8.11, on an intel chip MacBook pro (2015) and on my m1 silicon MacBook air.
I would have posted earlier but i was always in the midst of things. Anyway, the error tells me to come here and post the error message, so here I am. I did do a quick search, didn't find a forum specific to this plugin, and the most recent post about it that I found was 2023. I hope I'm not duplicating... error message follows: calibre, version 8.1.1 ERROR: Install plugin failed: A problem occurred while installing this plugin. This plugin will now be uninstalled. Please post the error message in details below into the forum thread for this plugin and restart calibre. Traceback (most recent call last): File "calibre/gui2/dialogs/plugin_updater.py", line 740, in _install_clicked File "calibre/customize/ui.py", line 540, in add_plugin File "calibre/customize/ui.py", line 86, in load_plugin File "calibre/customize/zipplugin.py", line 311, in load File "importlib/__init__.py", line 126, in import_module File "<frozen importlib._bootstrap>", line 1204, in _gcd_import File "<frozen importlib._bootstrap>", line 1176, in _find_and_load File "<frozen importlib._bootstrap>", line 1147, in _find_and_load_unlocked File "<frozen importlib._bootstrap>", line 690, in _load_unlocked File "calibre/customize/zipplugin.py", line 210, in exec_module File "calibre_plugins.audiobookmetadatareader.__init__" , line 8, in <module> from common import DEBUG ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'common' |

Unfortunately this plugin is LONG abandoned. There have been some newer plugins developed; maybe one of those might meet your needs. See https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=57 and https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...6&postcount=56
