KEPUB conversion issue when regular text followed by italics text
I have a strange issue with generated kepub:
The issue may exist with other ebooks as well, but this is the one I noticed the problem. I have a mobi version of the ebook "Robot Dreams" by Asimov. I am using Calibre to convert it to epub and then sync it to my Kobo Libra Color which, because of the plugin, is converted automatically to kepub. Here is the problem: if I have word in regular text followed by a word in italics, the two words appear as one concatenated word with no space separating them. If I try to highlight, both words are highlighted as one. I also tried to convert the ebook directly to kepub in Calibre and when opened with the Calibre e-book viewer, I see the same problem. However, if I take the epub file (not the kepub) and upload it via Google Drive to the kobo so it isn't converted by the plugin to kepub, or if I open the epub file with the Calibre e-book viewer, all is OK. I attached two screenshots show how the KEPUB and the EPUB files are displayed in the Calibre e-book viewer. |

As I said in the post above yours, it's a bug in the latest version of the plugin. Go back to the previous version for now.

Yep! the current version has issues with <i>
But I also found it had some with a <span> Code:
<span>Chapter</span> <span>Twenty</span> ![]() ChapterTwenty is what hits my Libra2 |

And <a id="xxx"></a> also loses the space before it. So <i>, <span> and <a> have the problem. Has anyone noticed a problem with <b> or <small>? I assume they would also share the problem, but I reverted to 3.71, so I haven't checked.

Do you just need to revert back to 3.7.0 on the KePub Output or I need to revert on Input and Touch Extended also?

My apologies everyone, between my usual Christmas holiday unplugging and an overzealous spam filter I've missed a bunch of emails. I've put version 3.7.3 up on MR, you won't find it on GitHub, but it's just a revert to the 3.7.0 code. Calibre should offer it within the next hour. I'm actually in the middle of reworking the entire conversion process, but with real life to handle that could take some time.

The real problem is in my rush to get a revert up I named the ZIP file wrong, so the real plugin was never updated but a new "KePub Outpub.zip" file was added... <_<

I saw that and assumed it was documentation! (the PUB portion of the name).
