Hello everyone! I tried setting up the Calibre Content Server on my Raspberry Pi Zero 2W for my Kindle 3 Keyboard, after encountering issues at every step, from PHP version to outdated guides I decided to start from square one and ask you: How can I even install the content server? I am a beginner in working with PHP and servers and I would really appreciate if someone could explain it to me like to a dummy. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

I think you need to clarify... Calibre CONTENT server is the server built-in to calibre itself; exposes the library at port 8080. calibre comes with ALL the required code to run this, and does not need php.
Calibre WEB is a totally separate project from https://github.com/janeczku/calibre-web |

Calibre content server can either be enabled from within the calibre GUI, or can be launched via command line. See https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gen...re-server.html
For calibre-web often the easiest approach is to install using Docker where the docker container will contain all the required levels / versions of software. Now I have no idea whether a pi-zero can run docker! Sent from my Pixel 7a using Tapatalk |

Your main problem is that calibre has been 64-bit starting with version 6.0, the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W is a 32-bit. At one time Raspberry Pi distro compiled calibre for the pi.
You can try: Code:
sudo apt-get install calibre -y bernie Quote:

Would running the 64 -bit version of Calibre on the 64bit version of the Raspberry Pi OS solve the problem? Thanks!

Thanks! I'd forgotten totally about the 32 / 64 bit issues!

I can add that the server works like a charm on my Pi 5 so maybe you could use this as an excuse to buy yourself a late Christmas present!. I also use a folder on an external drive (as part of a NAS hosted by the Pi) which is checked every few minutes and any books dropped I. Are automatically processed and added to my caliber library.
