Then that 2016 date seems likely, doesn't it? There's no secret way to tell. If the publisher has no other information and googling doesn't discover anything either, then that's probably it.

The search results I found show the oldest publication date for the paper version being 1982 with a second edition in 1992 and the ebook version in 2016 so the date shown on Amazon, Everand, etc. for the ebook publication date is likely correct.

Note that WorldCat records show the ebook as published in 2016. |

I'm not even sure if the actual publication date matters so much as the date it became available for sale on Kindle. Usually the pubdate matches up but Is it possible for the publishers to backdate it?

Hello.
I try the 3 methods posted but don't work. I downloaded the Kindle for pc correct, do all steps but I can't convert in calibre. Before limitation of amazon e-books I can convert and send to kindle. Never had any problem. There is another method I cant try and work? My Kindle is 11th generation, |

It works. But just in 1 book, I download anothers to test and kindleunpack plugin show it's impossible.
Just one is azw format but other is in azw3 and don't work. Its work if I don't have a kindle? If I want to buy a book in another account but I don't have this device just application, There is a method working? |

Method 1 only works if you have an actual eink Kindle registered to your account. If the other account has no Kindle device registered to it, you'll have to use one of the other methods. |

Regarding B&N
I'm finding it's not too hard to use B&N, at least this year. The app was more difficult in the past but it seems to have been worked out.
1. Buy B&N book. 2. Use the Nook app on PC/Mac. 3. Sync file (click on the bottom of the app to bring up activity bars. 4. Download book. 5. (I only know PC) Find the library location by going to ~user\AppData\Local\Packages\BarnesNoble*\LocalSta te I know it's infinitely easier than Amazon: Almost no books released in 2024 on Amazon seem accessible. Even when they don't have DRM, the books won't download unless it's on a more recent version of the Kindle Reading app. Books released in 2021-2023 has some that are, some that aren't. They've also been re-releasing many books with added DRM. Last edited by meghane_e; 12-21-2024 at 01:44 PM. Reason: added title |

I've bought and deDRMed a lot of 2024 Kindle books. It's still doable, unless you're on a Mac and have no eink Kindle device. Then it's difficult.
