Quick update to add a language setting field - I've noticed Kobo sometimes fails to find some books entirely even when its currently set to "all", and setting this to "en" seems to sort it out for me.

Per Kovid's suggestion, I'm posting this latest "Forbidden" failure of the Kobo Metadata download here. It's been nearly 24 hours since my last metadata download, seems a bit harsh to be blocked for that. Log attached.

Remove/disable the Kobo Books plugin and install the Kobo Metadata plugin.

Running identify query with parameters:

Using plugins: Kobo Books (1, 9, 2), Google (1, 1, 1), Amazon.com (1, 3, 10)

If you're still using Kobo Books for the kobo: identifier, you can turn it into a custom ID through Preferences > Look & Feel > Book details.

Kobo Books stopped working some tine ago.

Would someone who has access remove Kobo Books from the list of plugins since it no longer works? Thanks.

I've wondered if the moderators ought to remove it from the plugins listing. It'll still be available through the forums but not through the Calibre plugin dialog.

It is still able to be downloaded with calibre. I just had a look.

Kobo Metadata is not working. In the log, in from of the enable JavaScript, lines is a Rakuten Kobo graphic logo.

I created an empty ebook with the title Mary, Mary, author James Patterson and ISBN: 9780759514812 and Kobo Metadata did not seem to have any issues with downloading the metadata. Without the ISBN, Kobo Metadata downloaded metadata and covers for the House of Cross.
