"Kobo eReader.conf reverts after save

I am trying to install KOreader, but every time I modify "Kobo eReader.conf" it reverts and erases my change after I dismount my Kobo.

Any advice. I have found a few mentions of this happening to others, but no solutions.

I have a Kobo Libra Color with the newest firmware.

How are you editing the file?

What lines are you adding?

I connect the Kobo to my PC, edit the file with Notepad or Notepad++, save and close the file. I then re-open the file and verify that they changes are there. However when I eject the Kobo and re-connect, the file is back to the way it was.

I am adding to the bottom of the file:

[FeatureSettings]
ExcludeSyncFolders=(\\.(?!kobo|adobe).+|([^.][^/]*/)+\\..+)

Have you checked the entire Kobo eReader.conf file for that line? AFAIR, the file will be rewritten so multiple instances of headers will be merged and, other than the [General] header, the headers will be sorted in alphabetical order.

Ah, it puts the option headings in alphabetical order, thus I did not see it. Thank you.
The change does not work, but that is a separate issue for me to look at.
