We divested ourselves of all family obligations this year, so its just going to be us, a crock pot of spiced (and spiked) cider, some good food and some good books.

We're having the first official winter storm of this season. So it's windy and rainy, but not cold at 9℃. Even though it's windy neighbours around back just had a tiny home lifted over their house into their backyard.

Yesterday there was talk about twin storms; one this morning and one tomorrow. But although it will be windy tomorrow they now expect it not to be a storm.

Wednesday (Dec. 11) it rained all day and reached 60 degrees F. Thursday (Dec. 12) it was in the 30s all day, sunny while daylight lasted. Now, at 3:30 AM Friday it is 27 degrees F.

It was cold in the 20s/30s (F.) for a few days. Now raining, 39 degrees F. Going up to 50 Monday with more rain for a few days. (New York City.)

Today is my first day of my end of year vacation and I spent it making soups and breads for the garage freezer. I had to open the windows and run the fan because it got so warm. But it will be worth it not to cook at all on the cold and possibly wet Christmas week.

Today is the eleventh day without the sun coming out. Apparently it's been decades since that's happened. But tomorrow there's a chance of some sunshine. Before it gets rainy again.

These last two weeks have been grey and wet. Not a huge amount of rain, but every day it's been, at the very least, damp.

Yesterday and today have been windy.

Looking forward to tomorrow's sunshine. I've got some errands to run, so it'll be nice being outside when the sun's out.
