I would like glasses with windshield wipers. The stupid things get dirty for no reason.

I really enjoy walking in light rain/drizzle (the new rain jacket is terrific) without an umbrella- listening to the rain bounce off the hood.
But I still can't accept walking at 6 pm in total darkness - it just feels wrong. Once again my biological clock refuses to reset to ST (Pixie cat too) so unless I have an appointment I am conducting my daily activities as if we were still on DST - waking up without an alarm at what used to be 7 am, eating at regular (now early) times, and going to bed when tired out. The only problem is the complete darkness for the last 2 walks of the day (pre & post dinner) - which now take place in Stygian darkness. I have invested in several very bright LED flashlights for safety. Sigh ... Issy - I am in your camp now ... ![]() |

I put strategic dots of fingernail polish on the inside bit of the earpieces so that I can identify my glasses since I'm boring and order the same model three times. If I didn't it would take me a while to figure it out.

It’s pitch black here before 5 PM, which seems as if it should still be afternoon. Shifting that hour of daylight later would mean the sun would still be in the sky albeit low and the psychological difference would be incalculable.
I’m looking forward to people getting their Christmas lights up, because it does make a difference when out on those dark walks. Pretty and cheery and it helps kill December. There’s no helping January, but at least by the end of the month I can see a difference in the afternoon light. I wear an LED headlight and dangle another LED light down my back. No sidewalks and few streetlights. |

I didn't use to be that way but I'm decidely a morning lark. I go to bed at 8 PM. On a good night I'll wake at 4 AM. On a bad night, midnight. But I do have the ability to sleep an hour at any time of the day. I do my walk when the sun has warmed things up a bit.

And I so love driving to work in pitch darkness as used to happen during the last days of daylight saving time. I realize that many people don't get up while it is dark in the mornings but quite a few working class peons are forced to do so. Personally, I would like to see DST dumped into the trash bin of history.

I would love the standard time to be dumped and DST to be still a couple of hours later. And yeah, I'm also a working class peon. I just choose jobs that don't need doing in the morning.

What's your color scheme? I assume you have some kind of mnemonic to help you remember which color is associated with which glasses? Perhaps this is it? Reading: Red Computer: Cherry Distance: Dragonsblood |

Some of you might remember my pushy aunt. The one that thought her wishes were more important than my father and mother's wishes when my dad was in hospital. And who has been pushing my to volunteer as carer (which will never happen) now that I don't care for my parents anymore (because they really don't need me).
She's been top volunteer for a dementia organization for years now, also teaching workshops. Last year she was chosen to play in two of their ads, which she play a woman with dementia. Which is whatever for me. Until recently where YouTube has decided to show that ad at least one every time I watch something on YT! Can't that woman just leave me alone. Secondary rant: YT is clearly pushing their paid service with the amount and length of ad block I get when watching things. |

I also keep a few "cheaters" (cheap reading glasses) on my desk which I stack on my other glasses for small electronics. I also have a desk USB microscope. |

I have a simpler solution, coloured frames, blue:outdoors, red:indoors, yellow:reading.
