You can control the behavior of double clicks and pressing Enter on the books list. Choices: open_viewer, do_nothing, show_book_details, show_locked_book_details, edit_cell, edit_metadata. Selecting anything other than open_viewer, show_book_details, or show_locked_book_details has the side effect of disabling editing a field using a single click. Default: open_viewer. Example: doubleclick_on_library_view = 'do_nothing' You can also control whether the book list scrolls per item or per pixel. Default is per item. Is this reversed, or am I misreading this? When I had it set to edit_metadata, single-clicking a field had no effect. Changing it to show_book_details enabled the singleclick edit. |

I think the current doc is correct. Just tested some cases on a portable version and:

	- using default setting (book details) -> single click edit works - 'do_nothing' -> single click editing doesn't work - edit_metadata - single click editing doesn't work If I'm correct, I think this note in a Action Chains post shouldn't have been striked out: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...&postcount=430 |

Hey - I somehow missed the fact that 'show_book_details' and 'show_locked_book_details' were added to the tweak. I use custom shortcuts (I and K) but often forget which does which.

I'll make Enter 'show_locked_book_details' and drop the shortcut. BR |

I feel stupid because I just re-read it and now i can tell that it was doing as expected.

![]() Disappointing because I would've liked to open the book details on double-click (and the MDE with enter key) but not if it constantly starts editing cells. Last edited by ownedbycats; 11-19-2024 at 04:17 PM. |
