I have searched through several authors before asking you.
I don't mind if I have to update the bio of 4 if I have to get one.
And I don't think it's a limitation of my i7 with 16GB of memory.

I'll try to check, in any case, to see if I'm able to reproduce it. Because, in my case, it doesn't freeze but it takes quite a lot of time for the first author.

Hello,
Thank you for developing this plugin, but there are still a few malfunctions.
1/ Calibre (7.20.0) crashes randomly when the author's note is downloaded.
2/ How does the “translate” function work?
2.1/ For me, once the translate box is checked, I always get an error: "A total of 1 author(s) were skipped based on html content".
probably because I couldn't enter any language code (keyboard entry impossible? )

3/ What is the official final version of this plugin, the one on the first page?

Regarding your answers:
1. Try selecting two authors to see if it improves and calibre doesn't crash.
2. The translate function works from the plugin settings. You must check translate biography from the author notes and in the language code field you must put the two digits of the language to translate. In the image, Spanish is selected in my case.
2.1 the error that appears is because it didn't find a biography of that author on goodreads (but maybe you're using the plugin from the first post, try Teresita's edit)
3. Answered in the first line of this message.

About the translation, just a comment. I'm afraid you can only select es.... because it's the only translation that exists. Translations are doing by users, and I was the only one that translated the plugin.... to Spanish.

I think he means the bio's content translation.

P.S.: Just installed the plugin and, for some reason, when I tried installing your latest modified version, the installation did not went well (the same problem that happened to other with the first version). Then, I installed the version in the first post and it worked. So I updated to your version after that and it works now.

No error. But when I restart, the plugin is not available in the menu. Also, trying to configure it via calibre preferences tells me to restart.

In fact, the only serious point il that sometimes I have random crashed and I have to restart Calibre.
Do you have the same behavior or I am the only one to have this ?

It doesn't crash here, but calibre stops responding during the process. I processed 659 authors in a single run (it took an hour or so).

Yes you're right, It doesn't crash but calibre stays busy, as I process with just one author. I need to kill Calibre app, and restart it, but my Mac isn't crashed
Of course, sometimes all is OK.
