For some people, the Holocaust is a hot button. For myself as long as the author is not denying the Holocaust, using it in a story is not an issue.

It's also a young adult novel. Fictional narratives can be more compelling than real ones, because they help the reader to become attached to the characters better than they may when reading biographies about historical events. This is especially true with younger readers.

That, along with it being very well written is why it won awards.

An excellent contemporary (at the time it was written!) fantasy. I recommend this book! But you'll probably want to have read the first one first, as it introduces the characters.

What you have posted is the most recent cover and is not - as you state - "...the correct cover". In fact, I would go as far as to state that there is no "correct cover."

IMHO, the correct cover for this thread is the cover that is being used for the eBook when the listing was posted.

I picked up Tea with the Black Dragon when it was on sale a while back, but haven't yet read it. I'd likely pick up the sequel at such a cheap price, but don't think it is worth the travel to do it.

I do think I'll bump Tea up on my list though.

But, I checked other books by the same author and The Book of Kells is $3 at Amazon only (Open Road is bad about favoring Amazon in their sales).

But if you are patient, most of the Open Road books eventually have a turn on sale at Kobo as well. In which case they are also discountable or couponable, if you have VIP or a coupon. (Or you can price match, but that can be a bit of a pain, so I don't use on Open Road books.) But definitely agree - not nearly as often on sale at Kobo.
