Since Amazon still considers 1200x800 to be HD, not going to consider one of these for my next small tablet purchase.

I got my new Fire HD8 today, it is much faster than my previous generation HD8

I installed Google Play Store, and was able to add my favorite apps.

I'm happy with my HD 10 Plus and Max 11. I still have a functioning HD 6, also 1200x800.

Ohhhh I loved the HD6 when it came out....but we ran into so many issues with space. Earlier this year my mom gave hers back to me so I tried to use it....even after factory reset and no apps added, it constantly gave me lack of storage messages, and was SO slow. Such a shame, we had 3 of them from release day! That was 10 years ago!

I traded the HD6 in for a 12th gen HD 8, which I use almost daily, and really love it. I also have a 10th gen HD 8 that I use to view my Wyze Cam, and 2 9th gen HD 10 tablets, one of which is rarely used, the other, I use to stream Spotify to my Echo. So much as I love the new tablets, I don't really have any need for them.

The 8" size is really nice, though I miss that cute 6" tablet.

I had the previous generation of HD8, it only had 32gig of storage and I believe on 2 gig of ram. It was very slow and with the Google play store installed didn't have much storage left and was even slower. This newer generation is much faster and has 64gig os storage, which is enough

I just looked, and my daughter's HD 10 that was registered in 2019 has less than 2 GB space available. But she almost never uses it, so I guess it can sit there. The others have more space than that. (As an aside, I still have a 2012 Fire HD running N2A on it! It's got 16GB and not much space available, BUT it has my favorite version of Bubble Pop, which I can't locate in any app store. So it will stay on the shelf, plugged in and ready! LOL)
