I tried the three story URLs I was sent by Ealdwulf and wildfire070. They downloaded fine for me.

Given the inconsistency, I'm inclined to think it's transient network or server errors, or maybe cloudflare sticking its nose in.

That's kind of what I was wondering myself. I guess I will wait until later to try and do my updates again and seed what happens.

Another thing I noticed..."always_login:true" is default in my personal.ini. With that enabled, it would give me the login error. But with it disabled, it seems to download fine. Guess I'll keep that disabled for now.

always_login:true does exactly that--always logs in before downloading.

AO3 hides stories that are restricted to logged in users completely, so to download them, you need always_login:true. But only for restricted stories.

Edit: Or to collect your own metadata like bookmarks.

Recently started reading some of the Asian & Wuxia & Light Novels online. (Mostly the post apocalyptic survival or Zombie survival type stories)

But cant find the stories I want to read on sites supported by FFF.

I did see one in the list but the list looks like this:

novelfull.com
Example URLs:
- no
- such
- example

I would guess Novelfull is not supported anymore? Pasting URLs does not come up with anything.

I am not sure how difficult it is to add new websites,

But would love if sites like the ones below could be added:

https://www.mtlnovels.com/
https://www.webnovel.com/

The example story URLs are deliberately not real stories, but examples of the URL form.

novelfull is working for me. According to my notes, for a while, novelfull only worked with flaresolverr, but now it doesn't work with flaresolverr for me. Cloudflare.

This issue on github documents why I'm reluctant to add new translated/original fiction sites to FFF.

They aren't sure what the problem is, either. AO3 recommends clearing cache and trying again, but how do we do that in FFF?

Basically, FFF only keeps a cache for a single download session. So there's no clearing required. Or possible.

You can restart Calibre if you really feel the need to do something.

Good to know, thanks! Retrying without closing Calibre first wasn't working, but closing and restarting Calibre seems to have done the trick.

Ok I see that issue and understand why you are reluctant to add new sites.

Hmm, I was pointing out there are no listed examples for novelfull in the list of working sites, so I could not tell what the required format is for novelfull.

For example I want to get this story:
https://novelsfull.com/novel/my-doom...ain-f582302ee8

When I open FFF it does not recognize this URL in the clipboard and opens blank, pasting the url also does nothing.

If novelfull i working for you maybe I don't have something configured correctly.

That's because novel_s_full is not the same as novel_full. They appear to be completely different sites.

I'm getting prompts to enter my username/password for AO3 when using "Get Story URLs from Email", but it fails (definitely the right info).

If I then copy those URLs from the log and use the "Download from URLs" function they work without issue.

I am getting the same issue when I try to update an anthology that requires being logged in to see. For every fic in the series, I get the log in prompt boxes pop up twice, enter the correct info, and at the end get an error that it can't update. For AO3 antholgies.
I figured it was something to do with their recent problems with logging people out but was wondering if there was a fix I am missing to do with it. The first day after their issues, I had the problem but it worked after trying a second time. But not anymore.

Is it also happening to people with username/password set in personal.ini?
