That's exactly how I set it up, but I get nothing in the intended column...

Edit: GOT IT! I was trying to make sure that it worked with another 'tag like' data, but turn out that my tags were in the 'genre' data.
Why? I have no idea, but it works as intended now, so I'm not asking to many questions xD

FFF's mobi output doesn't support images.

I don't recommend anyone use FFF's mobi output. I recommend using epub output to allow for updates and use Calibre Convert to azw3 for Kindle.

OK, now this is strange. I had switched between EPUB and MOBI many times and I swear no covers came down either time. But I went back to EPUB to get logs showing the missing covers, and sure enough the cover was captured this time!

I don't know what I did different - maybe fiddled with some settings. But it appears to work now.

Is there a way to re-generate the title page without having to do a full overwrite of the epub? I downloaded a number of fics before realizing I could change the way the title page generated and I want to fix those now that I have my title page settings changed, but as far as I can tell the only way to do that with existing books is to use the "overwrite always" setting.

If you downloaded to epub, you can do Update EPUB Always. FFF will still go to the site to collect the metadata, but will reuse the existing chapters.

If you downloaded to a different format, Overwrite Always is the only option to update title page. I recommend downloading to epub and converting as needed for all users.

If you aren't already, you should also look at creating and using a custom column for storing FanFicFare Metadata. It won't help with updating the title page inside the epub, but it will let you update Calibre metadata without more network traffic later.

fanficfare doesn't work anymore on fimfiction.net, yesterday it worked but when i tried updating a fic today i got this error message
"HTTP Error in FFF '403 Client Error: Forbidden for url: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/550684/'(403)"
i tried with other fics and the result was the same.

Cloudflare strikes again. It's a 403 block and the response headers indicate cloudflare as the server type.

Using flaresolverr seems to work in my limited testing, with the limitation of not getting images.

(I haven't tested with BrowserCache because I don't expect it to work. Response header says cache: max-age=0.)

Since months ago flaresolverr doesn't work for me with ff.net. I tried today again with the latest version but got the same error as always.

I am having a lot of difficulty with understanding how to configure the title page of the downloaded fanfiction.

How do you change what shows up in the title page ? Does it need multiple sections to work ?
I've read the default.ini comments but it does not seem to work as it says it should ?

my personal.ini :

The title page still comes out with all the default entries

First, I assume you understand that lines starting with '#' are commented out.

Second, title page doesn't update automatically--FanFicFare only changes the contents of the ebook (epub is the recommended format) on download or update.

You need to update with 'Overwrite Always' or 'Update EPUB Always' mode if the story hasn't been updated since you last downloaded it.
