True. I should have said "stable for what I use it for - Mobipocket books". I believe that PDF support can be "flaky", too.

Nice move from Bookeen.

Telling it's not the final release, telling this one is special and for Weltbild only, and NOT telling if we are keeping Mobi-support or not.

So people can have a rant here for the next two to four weeks at least....

I wrote and asked Bookeen for clarification, and got this reply:

We are willing to provide you more news about the next firmware upgrade. The Cybooks with Adobe Digital Edition being sold in Weltbild are loaded with a pilot firmware, which means that it is not the final version of the firmware. As you can understand, we are preparing a new firmware that includes lots of new possibilities for the Cybook Gen3. The main development of the firmware is over and we are now fixing some issues.

Please be sure that you will be informed as soon as we release the new firmware, in a few weeks.

Best regards and have a good reading.

So i grabbed my phone.
If i understood everything right :
Version with Epub will not support mobi. The person i had seamed to hint that there'll be two firmwares version from now on. But not sure if the version with mobi will be updated.

Well, that sorts it out as far as i'm conserned, screw you amazon !

Ah, time to convert my books to ePub.

So you just carry SD card with different firmware and reinstall if you need the other format.

I kind of hope that the firmware for Mobi will have less features since I want ePub to be the format everybody use.

Do you really think so? That's been their answer for the last month (ever since they failed to produce a firmware update by the end of quarter1). Seems we are no closer to a update than before. What rubbish!

I call them too, and it seems that there is only one major bug that they prevent them to release the firmware, they working activly on it and they want to release it ASAP but without such bugs
