I am hoping that Kobo will not go for a soldered eMMC storage device on all their devices. The Sage and Elipsa benefit from the faster storage and the eMMC devices do have a longer write lifespan.

I hit an auction a couple of weeks back and a friend and I purchased a box of computer stuff from a firm that went out business. Along with the hard drive caddies he wanted, there was a coiled up 100' chunk of thicknet cable along with a couple of beesting tap/converters. The rest of the box was filled with a weird collection of cables and adapters.

One company I did some work for recently picked up a USB to ARCNet adapter since their CNC machines are still using ARCNet and the new control computer needed an adapter. Someday they may replace the 3 old CNC machines with new ones but that's not in the books for now. Nothing like supporting machines that are close to 40 years old.

The joys of Arcnet! Was always great fun tracking down duplicate station addresses. I used to work for a bank that had a very large DataPoint install base, which was then migrated to a Banyan Vines environment with PCs.

I don't want any. I once converted over 400 PCs from Token Ring to 100 Mbps cat5 on switches. Token ring was maybe a good idea when ethernet was a shared 10 Mbps coax.

Both of those came after the voyage. I'm thinking the top surface of the voyage screen was too expensive.
