			Hi.

I am new to jailbreaking and KUAL. After jailbreaking, what version of KUAL do I need for Paperwhite 3 (2015)? Thanks. |

			I have a PW5 Signature edition running 5.16.2.1.1

I was able to jailbreak it via LanguageBreak and everything seems to be working, but I can't get KUAL to show up as a document. From the instructions I should be using KUALBooklet_v2.7.32 with KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2, but it's just not showing up as a document. |

I think this is the right thread, if not, I apologize. I've been helping my kid who still uses a Kindle DXG. We got it jailbroken and KUAL onto it. But KUAL doesn't run - we consistently get "The permissions to open the requested title have an invalid date. Please contact customer service. "

Since we started this because the kid wanted the dates fixed on the device, I have no clue what to do. help? I was trying to get the usbnetwork hack on to run, but it doesn't. |

Then I moved all my epubs to a differnet foldr (outside "documents"), and everything is fine now. Maybe this should go to the Kual faq, do not put epubs into the documents folder! |

I installed KUAL and MKK on 3.0 and was able to run KUAL. But after updating the firmware to 3.4.3 to try and troubleshoot registering to an Amazon account (didn't help), I have a "Test Kindle Installation Result" document, and I can't launch KUAL. The error I get is "The device is not registered as a Test Kindle to run this title." So per the FAQ, I re-installed MKK, which ostensibly succeeded, but I still can't open KUAL. What should I do?

I am using a K3G. EDIT: Nevermind! Reset it to factory defaults and then jailbroke it again and it works now! Last edited by qqqqqqqqqqqz; 08-19-2024 at 12:27 AM. |

I'm having trouble getting KUAL to install on my Kindle voyage. When I put the KUAL.azw2 into the documents folder it does not show up in my library. I'm on firmware version 5.13.6. Is there something I'm missing?

Edit: I figured it out. I didn't realize i was supposed to use the booklet version. Last edited by ChooChoo; 11-29-2024 at 06:19 PM. |

Hello, I hope this is the right thread for this, but is it possible to have "tweak battery icon" be executed automatically at every boot?

				Screensavers Hack ...Destroyed

			I have a PW2 running 5.12.2.2

I was able to jailbreak it via Jailbreak for any Kindle <= 5.14.2 I installed KUAL and PYTHON and everything seemed to be working In order to get the Sreensavers Hack, using 7zip I decompressed kindle-linkss-0.25.N-r17508.tar.xz and moved the file Update_linkss_0.25.N_install_pw2_kt2_kv_pw3_koa_kt 3_koa2_pw4_kt4.bin to the mrpackages folder at the root of my Kindle over USB, then ejected & unplugged my Kindle. I runned then MRPI via KUAL: Helper -> Install MR Packages and there was a message something like "Hush little baby, installing, Destroying Package, Restarting UI" and then the Kindle rebooted with the usual picture of a tree and did’t show the special screensaver to confirm that the installation was successful. KUAL UTC says sh.write error: broken pipe I repeatdly downloaded and extracted the file tar.xz, even by online extractors but the result was the same. Any ideas to help me? |

I have a Voyage and I'm having a similar issue. I'm on the 5.13.6 firmware and I managed to root it with the WatchThis method. I'm not able to get KUAL running. What steps did you take? Your help would be appricaited. Aidan |

Hi everyone! I'm very new to kindle modding so I apologize if this is an obvious question but I can't get apps other than KOReader to work. I tried eBoard and Gargoyle and they both show on the KUAL app list but they don't launch when I attempt opening them. I'm on the latest firmware and used WinterBreak as my modding method.
