Hi guys,
I'm curios when you're doing full Calibre backup/restore over import/export your previous settings (including selected device from Welcome Wizard) will be a part of that process. What if you need to change device for a new one - is there an easy way to check what device Calibre is set to work with and change if it's not what you expected? |

Preferences:Run Welcome wizard
Just run it (assumes you have not done overrides). Welcome Wizard is a catchall for a number of settings that can be done individually Among Preferences: Output Options Preferences: Behavior |

I see, so running Welcome Wizard again will not affect current library. Thank you for the tip!

Is possible, via composite column or something else, to display a note for a specific column (series) in the book details?

Did you try using ==>> get_note(field_name, field_value, plain_text) in a column that you show in Book details but probably not in the Book list.

Yes, that kind of works, but I think I can only get the notes for a specific defined series... not whatever series is attached to the select book.

I think you'll have to use a General Program Mode (GPM) template with $series in field_value, there's probably an example from chaley you could use as a pattern somewhere hereabouts.
You could just tap Ctrl+Shift+N, or click the Note glyph. |

I also suggest the selected option should persist, in Manage categories and Browse notes. BR |

Date custom column: is it possible to change the drop down calendar so that weeks start with Monday instead of Sunday?

Not without changing the code. Calibre uses the Qt calendar widget. It says that the first day of the week depends on the locale, which comes from the operating system.
