actually i too would be interested in playing around with the Sage's firmware and see if it can't be hacked to work with a Vision 6...

Even though the Sage doesn't have removable storage it should be possible to SSH into it (as root). Maybe something like:

ssh root@sage.ip.address "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0" | gzip -c | dd of=sage-mmcblk0.gz

(on linux. where sage.ip.address is replaced by the IP address of the sage)

anyone with a Sage that would be willing to do that?

You will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask for PMs to be enabled.

My reader doesn't boot anymore (starts with the working light, two times black screen flicker and no further reaction) so I am helpless and want to try several options.
Took out the SD card, couldn't see anything on it (corrupted?) 🤷🏻*♂️
