Which means:
Saint Yves was Breton
Lawyer & not a thief
A thing to be admired by people...(or : a big surprise for people)
As often, he was probably a druidic holy man "adopted" by the catholic church... "Yves" means the yew tree, that was supposed to carry the souls of the deceased into druidic heaven.
