The UK site has them on sale too. £229 for the Sage and £149 for the Libra 2. I guess this is to move stock ready for upgraded versions or completely new readers.

Yes, it was the choice of models for the sale that interested me - it seems to be line with the guesses here about which models might be getting replaced/refreshed/upgraded

Not necessarily a more powerful processor could also be more power efficient especially if they don’t add features to ask more from it. And if I recall correctly the Libra 2s processor had some questionable design choices though I may be misremembering, and for the most part it only presents issues for the tinker folks who like to mod it with different reading software and/or tweaks outside of the patches.

They're also on sale on Coolblue. Kobo isn't sold directly in Germany, to not compete with Tolino.

Just for comparison, the Clara 2E is not on sale right now and costs €170 (which I got for €138 when it was on sale).

I’m really surprised that there’s still no news even if it’s been 3 months since the FCC. Although I’m not quite familiar with this process. Is it possible that they don’t release the devices til the fall, which seems to be the time at which they usually release devices?

One of the devices had a listed info blackout date steated of July - hard to see it getting released before then, imo.

The confidentiality letter for the N428 was dated 31 Aug 2023, requesting 180 days, which gets us to 27 Feb 2024.

The confidentiality letter for the N365 was dated 6 Dec 2023, requesting 180 days, which gets us to 3 Jun 2024.

So we might be 11 days away from the N428 breaking cover.

Personally, I'm voting for a Sage replacement first and then a Libra 2 replacement second. Of course, this means that we will see neither.

Agree with the Forma 2, Kobo cannot count to 3 anyway, just like Valve (the half-life game developer ).
Jokes aside, by the issues with the Sage, a 2E update would be expected (better battery, buttons etc), though not sure about a Libra update, what kind of new features they could add that justifies a new device. We already have USB-C, a crisp screen, good battery life, audiobook support. Maybe a Libra with a Mobius screen? But that's just not enough by itself.

I do really hope for a Forma 2 though. For me, the first Forma has the best ereader design ever made, despite I don't like the flush screen in ebook readers in general.
