Can you run in debug (under Calibre's Preferences dropdown), try again, and post the debug log?

I think I know what's happening here now. Please try adding this setting:
flaresolverr_proxy_timeout:59000 Or a smaller value--it's milliseconds. FYI, all I'm trying to do here is get a better error message. |

Yep. That's what I wanted you to see:
"Flaresolverr says: Error: Error solving the challenge" instead of: "Connection to flaresolverr proxy server failed. Is flaresolverr started?" I'll include that change to the default setting in the next version. |

On AO3, when an author inserts a new fic mid-series, is the best way to update the numbering from them all to use 'get story URLs" from the series page and then run an update on them all?

hi again! im sorry, i just cant seem to figure this out.
i raelly want to be able to filter by M/M or F/F or F/M etc. i have a column for that, and i know you said FFF stores that in genre (for ao3). i have no idea what i'm missing, but nothing shows up in my column. in 'custom columns' i have it set to 'genre' ive tried to play around with the personal.ini Spoiler:

It's the same as if they'd changed any other metadata like the title or author. If you don't care if the title page is updated, Manage Series plugin is useful to manually change series in Calibre only. To update title pages in an existing anthology, you'd also need to do 'update always', FYI. |

replace_tags_with_spans does not seem to be working
Hi,
I use FanFicFare for a few different websites. Some stories have most chapters inside of a <pre> tag, which makes it hard to read. So I thought I could use "replace_tags_with_spans: pre" (in the defaults section) in the personal.ini file to avoid that. However, it does not seem to have any effect. What am I doing wrong? (Using version 4.30.0 with Calibre 7.4) Thanks! |

I don't think that's going to help you.
<pre> tag preserves whitespace. Adding pre to replace_tags_with_spans would cause it to be replaced with <span class="pre">. Now all the text inside that span does not preserve whitespace and it's all going to be one text block now. Without seeing some of these stories (SFW story URLs only please), I can't help any more than that. And FYI, I don't expect to be able to help much anyway for stories formatted with <pre> |

But that doesn't explain why replace_tags_with_spans doesn't seem to be working? (sorry, I have no SFW URL right now) |
