New Kobo coming? Which?

Any reason so many are leaning towards a new Libra rather than a new Nia, which seems to be the most out of date device in the Kobo line-up?

I don't think this is true. The Forma had *amazing* battery life, even though it was such a light device (with the same size battery as the Sage.). It was the rest of the hardware upgrades that seriously increased power demands.

Perhaps that almost any worthwhile update/upgrade to the Nia would put it in the Clara 2E/HD device class?

The Nia is their basic kindle and the Clara 2e is their 6 inch paperwhite equivalent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

That's because the Forma has a plastic screen which made it lighter. The best screen is glass. And with the faster processor in the Sage, they do need a battery with more capacity. The battery life of the Sage is a joke.

I know it’s a bit low down on the want list, the worst thing for me with the Forma is the mini USB. Everything else I use has USB C so a new Forma with USB C will be fine for me

Useless? I'd be happy to take someone's "useless" Sage off their hands. I'd even pay shipping.

Two points: the Sage is a little big for an out-and-about reader, so there's a remedy at hand when the battery runs down. And, do you charge your phone every night? And yet having to charge the Sage renders it useless? Huh.

Slap a 300 PPI Carta 1000 screen and add USB-C, call it the Nia 2E. It would bring it on par with the Kindle Basic while leaving distance between it and the Clara 2E.

I actually charge my phone almost every other night.
