Well Good ereader has published an rticle saying the 2 FCC filiings are for a new Libra and a new Sage, so that guarantees a new Nia and a new Elispa, I guess

I am experiencing the constant database corruption problem. I know it seems to be firmware rather than the Forma itself, but it's making the reader worse than useless and an exercise in frustration.

Every time it happens (frequently) I have to start messing around repairing the problem and then figuring out where I was in the several books I usually have on the go because all reading history is wiped.

I much prefer Kobo over Kindle, but this is making wonder if it's time to switch

You can downgrade to a firmware preceding the corruption problems (4.35 is the latest without them, I believe).

Most cases are constructed in exactly the same way - some sort of cardboard flap usually covered by plastic, a hard plastic rear shell, and some kind of flexible spine.

In my case the spine always falls to bits after enough time. The edge of the flap also tends to peel away/get damaged over time.

Is any case manufacturer really doing anything different?

Never happened to any of my cases when I still used them, but then I'm generally very gentle on my devices.

I thought I was pretty gentle on my devices too.

I do however put them in a bag while travelling sometimes, and that does seem to distress the cases a bit.

I turn off my Forma just before connecting to the computer, and start it up again when connected. Since I started doing that, no more problems.

I hope you're right! I'd love to buy a 300 PPI Elipsa 3 with Carta 1300 and page turn buttons. I hope that and a new Kobo mini is what's coming.
