Gloomy & warm - waiting for the storms to roll through

Here, it's too darn hot.

On Saturday it was 44+°C (114°F) in Sydney's western suburbs. There's a severe heatwave warning for the rest of the week for all of New South Wales. NSW is bit bigger than Texas or France, and 3 times the size of UK.

No serious fires… yet, but many small ones.

A rainy morning and a dry afternoon, still warm at 11℃. It should now (8.45 am) be dry for a little while, so I hope I can get to my parents without getting soaked.

Last night it should have been dry after 6 pm, the radar also predicted that. But when I was cycling home it only started to rain harder. When I got home my legs were soaked (I was wearing a rain coat, but not any waterproof pants).

A dry day so a nice morning walk. Temperature currently 8° which is pretty much the high for today. No rain predicted until Wednesday evening so hoping tomorrow will also be dry. Looks like the Saturday snowfall isn't going to be replicated for a while (the chances of a white Christmas are predicted at 7%).

More rain today. A drizzly morning and from around noon it'll start to rain properly, occasionally hard. There's already a yellow weather warning for during rush hour tonight.

My sister and I have to see if we're cycling to my parents this morning or take the bus. I don't mind cycling in the drizzle too much. But having to cycle back in the poring rain isn't fun. Especially since when we get back we have to immediately leave again for my parents' vacation place to help unpack.

It was sunny in the 30s (F.) Thursday through the night but will be getting up to 55 F. today. This means my heat will go off and stay off. until it gets below 50 (even though legally it should be on below 55).

We had good heat all of this week up to now. We have been informed by management that the control will be from management office and they are going to install temp sensors in each apartment.

Another cloudy day, but at least it will be dry. It's still warmer than normal, 8-10℃. The last couple of days have been grey and day. This morning it's still cloudy but not as dark. Though that probably won't last long. From Tuesday the rain is back again.

What an utter wash out. It was so dim here all day that the photo-sensitive streetlights never turned off. It was a family reading day on the giant L couch with books, coffee and our two furbabies.

Yesterday the sun did come out, which was nice. Today is another gray and warm (10℃) day. It'll start raining some time tonight and it looks like it won't be dry for at least the next week. Tomorrow the prediction is that we're getting 20mm of rain.

Did you guys lose any trees or power? I've not driven down 86, old 86 or 54/15-501 on this morning to see if any trees came down in that sodden ground.
