My bricked Kobo Nia boot with InkBox, so I have a hope that a valid SD image would help to bring it to life.

Hello,
thanks to David for sending me the images of the kobo aura 2 (N236). According to the serial number on the box, my model seemed to be version 1, but the image put back on the microSD card does not make the e-reader work completely: it starts, the screen lights up but remains frozen ( it is not broken)
I wonder if the motherboard has not been changed and replaced with that of an aura version 2 (?) would that explain why the screen does not react?
I would like to try to put the image of the aura 2 version 2 that you also sent me David, but it is an .iso file... and I only know how to handle .img files
Do you have the .img file for the kobo aura N236 version 2?

I seem to remember that if you use the USB Duplicator Image Writer tool under Windows, if you select all files in the file select, you can treat that .iso as a .img file.

Personally, I feel it's unlikely that your V1 has a V2 motherboard but nothing to lose by trying.

You will need to have Private Messages enabled before you can be sent the link. If you don't see that option in the "Edit Options" of the User control panel, you should post in the Requests to enable Private Messages thread to ask for PMs to be enabled.

Hello, like so many before me, I would like to request an image of the Kobo Clara HD. Trying to image the current SD-card but it appears to be empty. A system reset keeps showing "Restoring" with 5 blocks and no further progress. Hopefully I can revitalize the device with a new image.
